Leeds Rhinos Netball has joined forces with Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Grammar School At Leeds to deliver three adult masterclasses this June. Participants must be 16 years and above to book on to these masterclasses but can be of any ability level. 

Each masterclass will run from 6.30pm-8.30pm and will be led by Rhinos Netball players that are experts in their area. The masterclass will cost £30 each.

- Defensive Masterclass: Maggie Birkenshaw and Michelle Magee 

  WEDNESDAY 21ST JUNE

- Mid Court Masterclass: Liana Leota and Rosie Harris

WEDNESDAY 28TH JUNE

- Shooting and Attack Masterclass: Paige Reed and Amy Braithwaite

Defensive Masterclass:

To win those games and to build excitement teams need to turn over the ball. So for those players in defensive circle or for those of that want some expert advice on how to give defenders a helping hand and turn the ball over before it gets to them, then this is the masterclass for you. This masterclass will focus on:

The best positioning to see the ball and the player to keep a clean game whilst contesting for the ball. How to work different styles of defence and where to implement the different styles on court. Working with your defender and how to get the best out of both players strengths to become a unit.

Mid Court Masterclass:

For anyone who plays in midcourt and wants to better understand how to help their midcourters or even add more versatility to their playing talents then this masterclass will do just that. This masterclass will focus on many things such as:

Role in each midcourt position and how this can be optimised to give teams the best opportunities.

A mixture of defending and attacking at centre passes and around the circle edge.

How to work together using the width and length of the court effectively to ensure the best opportunities.

Shooting and Attack Masterclass:

This masterclass is designed to help give players a greater insight in to how to be more confident in their shooting and attacking roles. For anyone who is looking to have fun, learn something new and get active this is perfect. Players that book on to this can look forward to learning and developing on:

Refining shooting technique and tips on staying calm and composed under pressure.

Opportunities to enhance attacking movements with better understanding of where and how to implement them.

How and when to enter the circle in order to work with your other shooter in the best possible way.
