Paige Reed first to re-sign for Rhinos 2027 campaign

After returning to the Rhinos ahead of the 2026 campaign, Reed made an immediate impact both on and off the court. Appointed captain for the season, the shooter led by example combining her experience, leadership and attacking quality to become a key figure within the squad. Her influence throughout the 2026 season was recognised at the club's end-of-season awards, where she was named both Maggie Birkinshaw Club Champion and Coaches' Player of the Year.

Comfortable at Goal Attack and Goal Shooter, Reed featured in 13 league matches during the 2026 season, scoring 268 goals with an 81 per cent total shot accuracy. She also converted 43 two-point AMEX Super Shots for the Rhinos in 2026.

The experienced shooter is now set for her third season in Rhinos colours, having first represented the club in 2023 before spending two years with AO Manchester Thunder. Since making her Netball Super League debut with Team Bath in 2018, Reed has established herself as one of the competition's most accomplished attacking players, also enjoying a spell with Severn Stars before returning to Leeds.

Away from the domestic game, Reed has continued to strengthen her international credentials. Having progressed through the England pathway at Under-17, Under-21 and Future Roses level, she made her senior Vitality Roses debut during the 2025 Netball Nations Cup, earning the Player of the Match award against Malawi. She has also represented England at the Fast5 Netball World Series tournaments, where she was named Player of the Series in 2023.

As preparations continue for the 2027 campaign, Reed's decision to remain with the Rhinos provides another major boost to the club's attacking unit as they build on the foundations laid over the past season.

Paige Reed said: “I'm really pleased to be staying with the Rhinos for another season. Coming back to Leeds was really special and to then be given the opportunity to captain the team made it even more meaningful.

“To finish the season with the Maggie Birkinshaw Club Champion and Coaches' Player of the Year awards was a huge honour, but I know there is still so much more we can achieve as a group.

I'm looking forward to another season in blue and amber and hopefully helping the team take another step forward.”

Head Coach Lauren Palmer said: “Retaining Paige is really important for us. She was our captain last year and her experience, both on and off the court, was incredible. The girls really looked up to her and she provided such strong leadership throughout the season.

“She was a key player for us, particularly in the attacking end, where she brought a huge amount of control, composure and quality. We’re really happy to have Paige back with us for another season”

Reed's re-signing adds further quality and experience to the Rhinos squad as preparations continue ahead of the 2027 Netball Super League season.
