Jen Fields and Francine Hall named as Assistant Coaches aside Lauren Palmer

Lauren Palmer has named Jen Fields and Francine Hall part of coaching squad for the 2026 NSL Season.

Jen brings a wealth of coaching experience across both performance and pathway environments. She currently coaches at Kingsway Power Netball Club and is the owner of SistersnSport, a platform dedicated to empowering the next generation of netballers through high quality netball programmes and camps.

Jen has also played a key role within the Manchester Thunder pathway, coaching across the U15, U19 and U21 age groups. It was during her time at Manchester that Jen and Lauren first worked together, forming a strong coaching partnership.

Speaking on joining the Rhinos, Jen said:

“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Rhinos for the 2026 season. Having known Lauren for more than a decade, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to coach alongside her and am excited to build on that partnership here.

Pre-season preparations are progressing extremely well, and I’m eager to see what this talented and ambitious group of players can accomplish together. I look forward to bringing the experience I’ve gained with Manchester Thunder and Kingsway Power into this environment and contributing to the team’s growth and success.”

Francine Hall, Pathways Manager and Head Coach of NIC Leeds Rhinos NXT Gen squad will also be taking on assistant coach responsibilities. Francine led the NXT Gen squad to a strong 3rd place finish in 2025 and over that time built up a strong rapport with Lauren. With a whole new personnel in the Midcourt, Francine looks to develop the group into a well oiled machine getting the ball through to the shooters.

Head Coach Lauren Palmer speaking on her coaching staff:

"We’re excited to welcome both Jen and Francine to the NSL coaching bench this year. I’ve worked with Jen for many years, and she brings a wealth of knowledge that our shooters will benefit greatly from.

"Francine, our Pathway Lead, and I built a strong relationship last season, and I’m really looking forward to continuing our work together. She will oversee our attacking midcourt, who are incredibly fortunate to have her expertise and leadership."
