Jones back for third season!

Harriet Jones will return to NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball for a third season in 2026 after another impressive season for the young player.

Jones joined Leeds in 2023 from Manchester Thunder and has gone on to make 32 appearances and score 299 goals, primarily as a Goal Attack.

She started her playing career with Chester Netball Club and then played for Oldham Netball Club and was part of the Manchester Thunder Pathway from the age of 15.  She has also been part of the England Future Roses programme.

Commenting on coming back for a third season Jones said: “When I first joined Leeds, they welcomed me with open arms and I have enjoyed my time here. I'm just really excited that I get to go and have a third season with them, and I'm hoping that there's many more to come.

“Since coming to Leeds I've definitely grown in confidence. I've now got involved with the coaching side, through Leeds Rhinos Foundation, and that has helped me develop new skills.  I just think that the environment that Leeds have is amazing and they've definitely brought out the best version of myself, and that's where I feel most confident.”

NIC Rhinos Netball head coach, Lauren Palmer, added: “I’m delighted that Harriet has re-signed with the Rhinos. Having worked with her since she was just 14 years old, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible growth in her game — and the huge potential she continues to show.

“Harriet brings youth, determination, and a real fire to everything she does. She’s a super shotter, gritty, hardworking, and fearless in her approach. She’s an exciting talent and an important part of our future at the Rhinos. I’m really looking forward to what’s ahead for her.”
