Oyesola scoops top awards at 2023 End of Season Awards

Rhinos star Vicki Oyesola picked up a  trio of awards at the club’s annual awards event at Headingley Stadium.

Oyesola, who has been in outstanding form for the Rhinos this season, was named Players’ Player of the Season, Coaches Player of the Season and Fans’ Player of the Season.  It was a memorable year for the defender, who missed just one game all season and made her 50^th appearance for the club.  Despite playing the entire season out of position at goal keeper she consistently won Player of the Match awards and was also named as Super League’s Players’ Player of the Season and named in the Super League Dream Team.

Other winners on the night included Paige Reed who one the Maggie Birkinshaw Award and team manager Gerry Plant who got the Spirit of the Rhino award.

The Rhinos Player Pathway Awards also took place at the event.  Theses awards are voted by staff and coaches and handed out to some of the stand out players in the Rhinos Netball Pathway.

The awards ceremony also involved the Yorkshire One Awards which recognises individuals who make contributions to the sport at all levels, from teachers, volunteers and players.
